Liked The owner that i was very happy to meet really made my stay. Super nice and helped out with everything i asked for, including explaining the Homestay concept in Malaysia. People rent out their furnished places for longer or shorter periods of time. These places may be in a big apartment complex and you may never meet the owner but be handed over keys by a guard or handyman.

Disliked For me it was not practical with a homestay, i expected a hotel with a reception. I needed help with the aircondition, the light, the wifi and the locks on the doors and so it took a while to get settled even for a first night. it also looked as if people were living there, with used sandals in the bathroom. But i understand now this can be expected with a homestay.
