The unit was clean and as advertised, but the overall experience was not worth the ridiculously high

Liked The unit itself was neat, peaceful, and nicely maintained. The rooms were properly prepared, smelled pleasant, and matched the photos and description in the listing.

Disliked The lift service was terrible—extremely slow and constantly full. We spent almost half an hour just trying to reach our unit. The parking arrangement was also very inconvenient, as the designated parking areas were on Levels 5 and 10. We had to drive round and round up the narrow ramps, which made us feel dizzy. To make matters worse, the host did not inform us about the lift issues or explain which lift we should use. Since the parking area is shared by both Blocks 1A and 1B, it was very confusing to identify the correct lift. The management also does not allow Grab delivery riders to go up to the units. We had to collect our food downstairs ourselves, which meant going through the same frustrating lift experience again. The constant inconvenience caused by the lifts completely spoiled our vacation mood. The host should have informed us about these issues before our stay so that we could make an informed decision before booking.

Spacious Apartment, but Check-in Needs Better Management

Liked We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights with our family. The apartment itself was spacious enough for our group and ultimately served its purpose. The owner was also polite, responsive, and apologetic when we informed them about the issue.

Disliked Unfortunately, our check-in experience was very disappointing. Although we only reached the unit at around 3:15 pm (after waiting quite some time for the lift because many guests were checking in simultaneously), we were surprised to find two pairs of slippers outside the apartment. When we entered, there were still three cleaners (two men and one woman) frantically cleaning, and the unit was far from ready. My children excitedly sat on the sofa while waiting, but I noticed several strands of hair on it. When I politely pointed this out and asked if it could be vacuumed, the female cleaner reacted with visible frustration, throwing up her hands and gesturing towards my children as if it was our fault she couldn't finish cleaning. I found her attitude quite unprofessional, especially since it was already past the official check-in time and we were fully entitled to be there. I immediately informed the owner and sent photos of the kitchen, which was still in a messy state. The owner handled the situation professionally and apologised, for which I am grateful. We waited about another 20 minutes before the cleaning was finally completed. During that time, I overheard the cleaner tell

Liked The vibe of the homestay is good & clean

Disliked The lift that served for the resident and home stayer! We waited for 90minute to wait the lift up and down! End up we climb up to 27th floor! And one of our member is pregnancy! Management no reply at all! Every floor that we get into! Didn’t show what floor! And yet! We need to have a look on someone’s door to confirm which floor!

Great Stay for Families and Groups

Liked I had a pleasant stay at Urban Suite Penang. The 3-bedroom homestay was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. All the necessary facilities and amenities were provided, making the stay convenient for families and groups.

Disliked The only downside was the elevator waiting time, which could be quite long, especially during peak hours. Other than that, everything was excellent. Overall, I would recommend this homestay and would consider staying here again.
