The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi

Comfortable and Good Location

Liked It was our second time to Langkawi and my first time with both kids. As a mum travelling with 2 kids, staying at Ritz Carlton was really easy and made us right at home. It was only 10 minutes Grab ride from the airport. The resort is still as stunning as when my husband and I first visited two years ago and staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. I felt completely at ease arranging buggy rides for my kids to and from the Ritz Kids and our room. The housekeeping team truly went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. They prepared a special bubble bath for the kids and such thoughtful little touches made our stay extra special.

Disliked Ritz Kids has the potential and capacity to become so much better. It felt a bit run down especially the pool area. Our children went for the Pool Party on Monday but were disappointed that the sound system and the water jets at the splash pad are not working. The area also felt a little dirty. The other side of the kids club is also quite underutilise. You often do not see anyone going there. Maybe the hotel can consider turning into an indoor playground? Or maybe extension could be made to include an outdoor play area? It's just a pity as it could become something more interesting for the kids.

Liked The hotel is simply amazing! The staff is very helpful and polite, our rainforest villa was super comfortable, the food at all restaurants was delicious. We loved absolutely everything and we will definitely be back to Ritz!

Liked There are five-star hotels, and then there are places that quietly redefine what five-star hospitality is supposed to feel like. Im a doctor, and my wife and I came here on our honeymoon, a rare opportunity for me to switch off completely. From the moment we arrived, it became apparent that this wasn’t going to be an ordinary hotel stay. We stayed in Villa 17, and I genuinely struggle to imagine how it could have been better. When we entered, the villa had been beautifully decorated for our honeymoon. But it wasn’t simply the decoration that stayed with us. It was the details. The little touches. Even the personalised “His” and “Hers” pillows waiting for us. None of it felt performative or done simply because this was a special occasion. It felt thoughtful. And that, I think, is the secret of this property: attention to detail matters here. The service is not merely responsive. It is anticipatory. There is an enormous difference between staff responding brilliantly when you ask for something and staff somehow knowing what you might want before you have even thought to ask.
