Liked The hotel is nicely situated & easily to get a grab to go around with a fair price. The staff is friendly. Hotel room is clean & comfortable for stay. Especially loved the food served by the restaurant (The Lamin). Full of native choices of food such as ayam pansuh, umai ikan, bunga kantan kerabu, Midin, cangkuk manis, ayam goreng rempah, laksa Sarawak and mee goreng. The teh tarik also nice. Not too sweet but full of flavour. Get to taste local food in hotel with fair price.
The decorations at the reception area gives me a feel of walking into a mini museum.
Will come again during my next trip

A hotel with Sarawak cultural
Liked Telang Usan is the only hotel I will stay when I visit Kuching, it was a hotel full with Iban culture. The restaurant “Lamin” is a must try when visit Kuching, I love traditional food service here like Umai from Melanau, ayam pansoh from Dayak & many more. The hotel displays all the Orang Ulu warriors costumes like Tapong Se and others. They also have a group of friendly staff at Front Office, Houskeeping and restaurant.
Liked We stayed here on and off for about 2 weeks on a World Challenge Trip. It is everything you could want in a budget hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. They even managed to help us negotiate group discounts on various excursions. We also participated in a cooking class run at the hotel which was a definite highlight. Rooms were air conditioned and cleaned daily and you were provided with fresh drinking water every day. The hotel was well located with many local restaurants within a five minute walk and the riverfront roughly a ten minute walk away.
