Convenient location, but poor management and unclear deposit policies
Liked The location is very convenient, with 24-hour convenience stores and plenty of restaurants right downstairs. There is also a shopping mall within walking distance, making it easy to find food, groceries, and other necessities.
Disliked Communication was poor from the beginning. The host asked us to communicate outside Booking.com and ignored messages sent through the platform. I even had to WhatsApp them at the last minute to request the security deposit payment details before receiving the check-in instructions. The apartment itself was poorly maintained. One bedroom had a broken doorknob and couldn’t be closed properly, while the air conditioner in another room started leaking after a few hours. The dishwashing liquid was empty, and the sponge still had leftover noodles stuck to it. What disappointed me most was the lack of transparency regarding penalties. Someone in our group smoked indoors, and I fully acknowledge that we were at fault and should be penalised. However, the house rules only mentioned deductions from the deposit without specifying the amount. When questioned, the host suddenly stated that the penalty was RM200, forfeiting our entire RM150 deposit while supposedly waiving the remaining RM50. I have no issue paying for our mistake, but penalties should be clearly communicated upfront, not disclosed only when they are imposed. The whole experience left me questioning the professionalism and tr
