Good place to stay if you prioritize location and a spacious room

Liked Excellent location, just a short walk from Jonker Street. The room is spacious, the bed is clean, and the floor cleanliness is acceptable. The two single beds have metal frames that tend to wobble and make knocking noises when you turn over, so they are not the most comfortable for sleeping. However, our kids loved them.

Disliked The soundproofing is not very good. You can clearly hear noise from the restaurant downstairs, although it closes around 9:00 PM, so it becomes quiet afterwards. Light sleepers may also be disturbed by the sound of people walking on the floor above. The two bathrooms do not have an exhaust fan or a small window, so ventilation could be improved.

Disliked Overall, the stay itself was pleasant as the place was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. However, the experience dealing with the management was quite frustrating. There was no clear communication prior to arrival — I was not informed that it would be a self check-in, and no one reached out to confirm my booking. This made the arrival process unnecessarily confusing, especially after a long drive. Parking in Melaka is already quite difficult, and it became even more inconvenient when I had to sort things out upon arrival. Only when I reached the location did they inform me about an additional RM200 deposit that need to pay online while i have cash which was not clearly communicated beforehand. This forced me to go out and find an ATM, adding extra hassle to the whole experience as this is self checkin. While the accommodation itself is nice, the lack of proper communication and poor management significantly affected the overall stay. I hope the management improves their process, especially in terms of transparency and guest communication.

Liked Fantastic large space for a couple or family/friends. Clean, AC worked great, shower warm with power. Water on arrival and a mini kitchen provided. Could not open the doors to the balcony, but that was fine, as we sat at the front along the river, looked after by our cafe friends. Perfect location opposite the Dutch fort, cafes and quiet at night, but it was off season. Loved our stay and would come back. Thank you Caesar for looking after us and being on call when needed.

Disliked Suggest getting a small sink in the kitchen and some cutlery. Curtains to the windows on the lower floor may be useful. Travellers like sockets near the beds. Otherwise perfect

OK location but not convenient.

Liked The location is tip top

Disliked Theres only a toilet upstair and the only place you can wash your hand, your cup, your utensil, or even getting tap water for boil is in the toilet. No basin at the lower ground so its super inconvenience. Besides, its super noisy not only because its near to the road that cars are passing through even in midnight, the restaurant downstairs can be noisy as well.
