Ruined my whole impression of Malaysia
Liked ⚠️ SAFETY ISSUE: I do NOT recommend this property for solo female travelers (see Dislikes section). LIKES: It was hard trying to give unbiased ratings to the apartment after my experience, but it was spacious, clean despite the bugs, had comfortable, firm beds, and a sturdy dining table.
Disliked ⚠️ SAFETY ISSUE: I do NOT recommend this property for solo female travelers. The man who checked me in touched me inappropriately in the second apartment. I had to find a hardware store and buy door wedges until I could arrange to leave. OTHER ISSUES: I stayed in two apartments. Both were pretty clean but had roaches. The first had a horrible smell that worsened throughout the night. Cookware is inadequate for longer stays; I requested a soup pot but they only had quart-sized pots and a medium skillet (some good quality, others not). Both units are older than photos suggest: stained walls in both, plus sagging particle board coffee tables and a worn couch in the second.
