Disliked We had an extremely poor experience with this homestay 1. Accident (An incident occurred at the homestay that resulted in my injury) When I came back with my takeaway food and sat down at the dining table, one of the chair legs suddenly broke. I fell to the floor and got injured — I now have a bruise on my left hand and pain in my back and leg from the fall. My husband reported the incident to the agent and after that shared photos of my bruise. However, the agent’s response was very disappointing and unempathetic. The reply downplayed the incident as a “small matter” (even using this😅 symbol at the WhatsApp’s), and during our phone call, the agent repeatedly mentioned that it might have been my fault for “not sitting properly.” I found this extremely unprofessional and irresponsible. The agent mentioned that the owner was only willing to compensate RM50 for a doctor’s visit, and anything beyond that would have to be paid by us. This was extremely disappointing and left us feeling that the situation was not taken seriously at all. 2.
